Fortuna High School Board: Henry, Taylor and Gage Lead for Three Seats

FORTUNA, Humboldt County — November 4, 2026. Three positions on Fortuna Union High School District’s board are being filled, with five named candidates in the contest.

Unofficial results

Racheal Henry has 1,661 candidate selections, John Taylor 1,484, Anita Gage 1,379, M. Robin Eckerfield 1,196, and Alyssa Taylor 721.

What the vote means locally

The third-to-fourth margin is 183 selections, important because the election fills three seats. Multiple-seat candidate selections must not be treated as the number of unique voters, and certification remains pending.

Why counting continues

The November 3 general-election final election-night report included 21,509 ballots countywide, but this was not the final tally of all eligible ballots. The county announced that post-election updates would begin November 5 around 5 p.m. Pacific. Precinct reporting does not confirm that all mail and provisional ballots have been canvassed.
